Potcakes website

Using this website

This site has been designed with web standards in mind. This means that the code behind it should work on most browsers and on most platforms. Even mobile phones and PDA‘s should be able to view it - although the pictures will be tiny! Developing standards compliant web content is an important part of accessible design practice.

Recommended

While most of this site should work on all browsers and all platforms without a hitch, some browsers can experience minor glitches. Internet Explorer sometimes has display problems. (IE is notorious for patchy support of web standards.)

We therefore recommend using a Mozilla browser such as Camino (for Mac OS X) or Firefox (Mac and Windows). Safari on the Mac (pre-installed with the system software) also works well.

FAQs

So why the weird email addresses?

Spam emailers and the like are known to send out automated email address 'sniffer' applications to harvest emails for junk-mailing lists. Using the *at* format is one way of us avoiding being flooded by tons of unwanted email. (If you have any more bright ideas, please do email us on the link above.)

As a site-wide general rule, always replace the *at* with the conventional at symbol (@).
